Katie and Laurence, married in Eureka Springs

I’m very behind with blog posting because I felt it more important to catch up on several weddings, but I am back now with a new post.

Katie and Laurence were married on May 19 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It was my pleasure to spend the afternoon and evening capturing their ceremony and dinner with family and friends.

I’ve added a few of my favorite photos from their beautiful afternoon. Check out these rings, awesome!  Thank you for sharing your day with me, Katie and Laurence.

Stacie and Rob Frobenius, Eureka Springs Wedding Photographer

My first post on my new blog is for Stacie and Rob. It’s always a joy to be a part of someone’s wedding, but especially so when it’s a relaxed, fun, close knit group. Everything seemed to just flow for them. Both Stacie and Rob share a great sense of humor so there was plenty of happiness to go around and no rushing or tension.  What a great couple. Their wedding ceremony was held at Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas with the dinner reception at the Atrium Room in the Historic Basin Park Hotel.

Weekend With My Children, part 2

These posts are a little out of order in that I shot these images the day before I shot the ones in the last post. The older of my two sons, Ryan, his wife, Amanda and their two sweet little girls, Madison and Hannah were here for a weekend visit and we managed a little family session out in the buttercups late on Saturday afternoon.  It’s always fun to have them over for some family time, and Madison is turning into a little horse lover.
It was a great weekend spending time with both of our children and their families.

Oh, Toni, what beautiful kids and grandkids you have! You, my friend, have such an eye and talent for what you do!! I love the picture of the girls together, but then the sweetness of the little pink flats in the grass!!! Your daughers have such beautiful smiles and your sons are so handsome! Such wonderful supjects for you to shoot!!! Of course you KNOW I love all the black and whites too! Wonderful, you should be so proud,…….all the way around!! :)

Weekend with my children

It was one of those spur of the moment things on Sunday evening. I had been watching this tree on this hill for several seasons and visualizing a portrait session here. It’s just at the top of the hill above the house where Austin and Hailey live so I had passed it many times.  We talked about shooting here, and we had been talking about a session… soon.  It’s a busy time of year around here so it’s hard for us to connect our schedules sometimes, even though we only live 10 minutes apart.  But the call came in on Sunday evening… the light was right, the clouds were glorious.. let’s do it.. now. So I jumped in my truck and buzzed up the hill to capture these images. The only downside was the weather. It was windy as you can see, but the wind was out of the north at about 25 mpi and it was barely 50 degrees. We were all kind of cold, but we pulled off some good shots anyway. Thanks to Austin and Hailey for getting out there.  Love these pics and I love these people.

Randi and Jeff are married Eureka Springs, Arkansas Wedding Photographer

First of all, I have to say that I regret the delay in blog posts here, but not the reason why. In recent months I have been very busy with the planning stages for a new home/office/ studio. More on that later.
Randi and Jeff are just incredibly sweet people who are a perfect pair. It was so easy to photograph them and their families. Their wedding ceremony was held at Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas on March 31, 2012. The reception was held at the Historic Basin Park Hotel. At cake cutting time they were successful at making a mess without making TOO big a mess.  Posting a few photos here for you, Randi and Jeff. I will be in touch with all the rest very soon!
